Jan & Elly was founded on a singular, powerful vision: to create an educational environment where every child not only masters the English language but also discovers a lifelong passion for learning. Our journey began when Elly Leong, a dedicated mother and a Bachelor of Science in Child Development & Psychology graduate, recognised a gap in Singapore's educational landscape. She envisioned a place that combined academic rigor with joyful, engaging learning experiences – a place she wished existed for her own daughters.
Driven by this vision, Elly meticulously developed a unique curriculum rooted in the latest child development and psychology standards. What started as a personal quest soon blossomed into Jan & Elly, an academy specialising in English language enrichment, with a strong emphasis on phonics for rapid reading acquisition and comprehensive reading and writing skills for children aged 4 to 12.
At the heart of Jan & Elly lies the belief that learning should be an adventure. We pride ourselves on creating a vibrant, interactive atmosphere where children are eager to come to class. Our innovative teaching methodologies incorporate dynamic games and engaging activities that transform complex concepts into enjoyable discoveries. This approach ensures deeper retention of information and cultivates a genuine enthusiasm for knowledge, empowering our students to become confident, lifelong learners.
