We understand that a strong phonics foundation is the cornerstone of literacy, and our proven methodology makes learning to read an engaging and joyful journey for children aged 4 to 6 years old (Nursery 2 to Kindergarten 2).
Our 3-Step Phonics Curriculum:
Level 1: Letter Sounds – Master essential phonics sounds.
Level 2: Blending – Connect sounds to read complete words fluently.
Level 3: Decoding – Build strong decoding skills for academic excellence.
This foundational level introduces young learners to the exciting world of phonics. Through playful, multi-sensory activities, children will learn phonics easily and develop key foundational reading skills :
Learn to identify and manipulate individual sounds (phonemes) in spoken words, a critical pre-reading skill.

Master the sounds of individual letters and short vowels, building a strong auditory and visual connection.
Begin to blend simple sounds to form CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words like 'cat' and 'can'.
Our expert teachers use a blend of games, songs, and hands-on materials to make our phonics classes highly effective and incredibly fun.
Introduce foundational vocabulary through engaging stories and interactive games.
Foster a positive attitude towards reading in a supportive and encouraging environment.
This intermediate level solidifies their foundational english phonics skills and introduces more complex concepts, guiding children towards greater phonics reading fluency and independence. Students will delve into:
Mastering common consonant digraphs (e.g., sh, ch, th) and blends (e.g., bl, gr, st) to decode more complex words.

Our engaging curriculum uses interactive games, stories, and structured activities to make learning advanced phonics concepts enjoyable and highly effective.
*Students aged 7 and in P1 who need reinforcement in this area are also eligible to join.
This advanced level refines their english phonics skills, preparing children for independent phonics reading and deeper comprehension. Students will focus on:
Mastering complex vowel combinations (e.g., ou, oy, ea) and diphthongs to decode challenging words.
Understanding how the letter 'r' changes vowel sounds (e.g., ar, or, ir).
Developing strategies to break down and read longer, multi-syllabic words.
Introduction to common prefixes and suffixes to expand vocabulary and aid in decoding.
Engaging with more complex texts, focusing on inferencing, summarizing, and understanding different genres.
Developing prosody, including appropriate pacing, intonation, and emphasis, for fluent and expressive reading.
At this stage, children transition from learning to read to reading to learn phonics dynamically. Our programme ensures they are well-equipped with the decoding and comprehension skills necessary to confidently navigate primary school texts and beyond, fostering a genuine and lasting love for reading.
Our phonics programmes start with the fundamentals and gradually build to advanced skills, giving children a strong grasp of consonants, vowels, and how letters combine to form words and sentences. Each level flows seamlessly into the next, ensuring your child is confident and ready for new challenge.

I really like how the teachers are very detailed in what they learned and also explains after every lesson what is needed to be improved and what he’s able to do on his own.
